Karthigai month surya worship is very significant.Chant Surya ashtagam , kavacham, Aditya hrudayam or any other surya slokha .
Hold on to any of these surya slokams and chant it regularly.
Of all the slokhas,Aditya hrudayam is very powerful ESP for ppl who have jail Vasam! These people may not know the reason as to ŷ they are housed there! Many of them may not know the efficacy of this potent slokha.They would look out for a purohit and request them to hold a prayer for 45/48 days to get relief and respite from their sentence!

But there is One more lakshmi who alighted from from Suriyan's Prabhai .Madhura kavirayar in his Sadakam describes Her thus:
She appears as a dazzling spatika emerging from Suriyan's Prabhai.(the ornamental Arch)She is different from lakshmi..she has no bandhus like Godess Lakshmi,no lotus,no vakshasthalam,no Kamadhenu,no Kausthubam or Chandran.yet She is full of Tejus.She resides in Surya mandala.She is Sreedevi.
The seven horses of Suriyan represent different colors according to 12 Rasis,one chakram.They change colors during the day!
The Surya Kantha kal is the color of Fire and has all qualities of fire.It dazzles when the Rays of the Sun pass through it. It is seen in some temples but kept as a secret.
Holy snanam:
One should perform dips in holy rivers only in the morning and not in the evening.the Sun's rays permeate and charge the waters only in the morning.
Dhaanam:
During Chithirai month especially on Agni Nakshatram day ,offer small mud pots filled with water to anyone.

Undikindra sengadhir... He went on to associate it with Sri Akka! if we look at Sri Akka's forehead one can see Suriyan as uchi Tilakam.

Suriyan is Ucham (exhaulted)on the first Sunday of kartikai.
Prayer song Aiyiram karam neeti-(kannadasans)was rendered by Nandaji's Jaishree Ravindran,Chitra ramanathan,chandra raman.
